The game crashes when I start a practice game or a skirmish... what the hell is going on?

Tried the game, crashed multiple times, each time I lost all my binds and settings. I had no idea which weapon was which aside from the chaingun and flamethrower since they're the only ones that don't have goofy names, and there's no hud identifiers or pickup messages for the different weapons by default. This also affects my controls since i don't know what these weapons are. This shouldn't be a guessing game. Speaking of binds, the menu didn't have any kind of message to say when to bind a key, so for ...
