next level cheat?

I absolutely love this game. It's right up there on my top ten list of favourites of all time.

However, I have an embarrassing admission to make:

I can't get past the village féte level.

I've tried and tried and tried, but I can't get a good enough score to proceed. I'm always last or second to last and it's so frustrating given that I've got this far, and it's not the puzzles or even the bosses standing in my way, it's a bloody sack race.

So please, if anyone knows a way to advance the level, a save game hack or anything, please let me know.

i somehow went through by spamming the buttons like insanity! there is no cheat i found though spammed my way through the first 2 and the third one was pretty easy.

Race: Mash the 2 buttons like crazy. I chnged the way I held my joypad so i was hammering at the buttons with my index fingers.
Boot throw: Same again, but just at the end, hold the A button to get a 45-50 degree angle
Archery: This is actually really easy and should net you loads of points. The trick is to just do small movements to gently nudge the cursor, or to control it if it's swinging about wildly.
