Why isn't there an English version available for this KT?

I've been looking forward to VI coming to Steam since it was the first ROTK released in the west in English and I had HUGE hope that you guys would bring 7,8, and 9 to Steam since I loved those so much, but if they aren't in English than it means nothing to me. I had such a HUGE smile on my face when I saw this and within a second of clicking on here it disappeared so I REALLY hope if you do bring 7, 8, and 9 to Steam PLEASE bring them in English and I'll buy them from you with no problem.

they had many since 1. none were english. Most likely, these were asian regioon, not western versions. Nor licenced. they still have 7 9 11 for sale english non steam on other sites.

There's also this game; it's in Early Access though and currently it's only available in Chinese, BUT these Chinese developers have promised an English translation of their game, so it might be something you want to keep an eye on.

...and yeah, I know that KOEI is a Japanese developer/publisher.

I've tried finding IX for sale for a while with no luck. That's why I was pretty happy when I thought they would be bringing it to steam

I would love 7 or 8 without the PUK. . . than again I don't know what the PUK does.

PUK is Powerup kit they usually add a lot of content to the base game and are considered the definitive versions but they rarely come out in english. ROTK 13 has one out in english now though.

Oh okay. I guess I hoped they would be like cheats or something since I loved playing IX with infinite everything on two neighboring cities and waging huge wars between the two of my factions while the rest of China was embroiled in a bloody war.

Still though I will hold out hope they will bring ROTK IX to steam in English (Or add english ones for any of the games they've released so far.)

Still hoping that after they finish releasing all of them again that they'll add english to each of them. I own them all from IV onward but would love to have them on PC with the PUK's, 13 so far is the only one I've got to play the PUK on.

Some of them have cheat functions, like it the 13 expansion it gives you the abilitiy to edit a lot of stuff, such as maxing stats and abilities of officers and maxing city stats among other things. But thats just a perk, the PUK's tend to add a fair bit of content too.

PUK also has cheat functions, true. But laughs, gay laughs, holding out hope on koei of all companies? You'll only end up with massive disappointment. Koei is notorious for shoddy support. I even heard of a customer getting a derisive 'you waste your time on games? lol!' response from koei. It's too bad that there haven't been any substitutes to the kind of games that they used to make. The key words being 'used to', cuz they haven't made games like the rpg-rotks, royal bloods, and uncharted waters in a long time.

I know it's possibly a long stretch to hope they would do something like this, but I will still hope and even if not I wonder what modders could do for this game since it was in English before so they could the English versions of the ROTK games and what have you or ♥♥♥♥ I mean KT eventually did release ROTK XIII in English so I'm sure one day they might do it if it means more money for them.

I mean, hey, English ROTKs on steam are what I want as well. I'm just not keeping my hopes up and recognizing that such a thing may never happen. Because Koei is a company that just doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥. I guess mod support is possible, but there has never been a large English modding community for the ROTK series. All in all things don't look good. ♥♥♥♥, I've even thought about making my own games that share some concepts firom the classic Koei vein... for now though, I'd much rather be playing games.

This gae was sold on direct2drive even before steam existed, and is still able to be downloaded.

They did screw me over onmy Dynasty warrirs 4. It is still on my labtop, and I have product activation code to reinstall. But if i lose that game file, no where to downoad it again.

Not with the Powerup Kits though. We only ever get the incomplete versions in English.
