Multiverse: best way to deal with "bosses"?
Haven't been playing IJ2 for very long, and it wasn't until today that I did a Multiverse boss fight...definitely a big spike in difficulty. Does anyone have any tips to beating these fights in general?

For example, I have a level 20 TMNT with all level 20 epic gear fighting a level 15 Poison Ivy boss (level 3 difficulty) that has armor until you do a certain amount of damage. There's a Batgirl assist that stuns her. I block and play keep-away while using the assist until the armor goes away, and then open Ivy up for big combos, including meter-burning into transitions and bouncing her off the background for added damage. I make mistakes every now and again, since I'm a noob, and then pay the price with a 400-500 damage combo, which I can often interrupt with the assist. The pressure from the CPU character is relentless, and seems to play better than the best Poison Ivy I've faced online. I also instigate a clash with 4 bars and gain 30% of my health back every fight too. Loss after loss! Best I've done is gotten her down to like 20% health left...ugh. I even re-rolled all of my gear a few times, with some nice upticks in stats, but that didn't seem to make any difference.

Am I doing something wrong, or do I just need to practice more? Are all of these events this difficult?

Awesome, thanks for the tips! Never thought about using the AI...

Thanks, I was gonna look something like this up! And so far, after letting my AI characters try the boss, they've only done slightly better than me, lol, so I'm just gonna give up on this particular fight...I've already spent over 2 hours on it!

It's really sad that the best way to play the game is to let it play itself.

Either way if you put all of the AI's points into counterattacks and combos, it basically can't lose no matter what you do.

Yeah, I agree! Right now, for example, instead of playing, I let the game run on my laptop in the other room for hours on end while the AI characters level up to 20+, and then I re-roll their epic gear and send them into towers for more gear. It's starting to make me wonder why I'm even playing this game at all, lol.
