Is it still played online or is the game dead?

I see that very few people are playing on Steamdb, but I thought maybe the number was not accurate since it was given away for free so many times on other platforms. Is that true?

I doubt Injustice 2 was given away for free, It was Injustice Gods Among Us.
Its difficult to find players online, the best way is to add someone to your friends and play online together.
