Game keeps on saying "searching for new content" when using a controller

I recently tried to get back into this game, but it seemingly wont work

Whenever i try to select anything with my controller the dlc screen keeps on popping up.

Hell, i cant even exit the game because it forces the dlc screen to keep on coming up and I already have every character, the only thing I dont have is the transformation dlc for cosmetics and such.

With keyboard, everything is fine, no problem whatsoever.

I am so confused right now.

if anyone comes across this you need to properties on injustice 2 in your steam library and then go to controller and enable steam input on whatever controller you are using. hopes this helps
