Sounds like a great way to keep cheaters out, except I'm not using either.

Are there programs that will give a false positive for these? I can't get the game to load. At first I thought, "Man, these cheat checkers are getting serious," because I had Cheat Engine installed on my machine, but not running. In fact, I haven't opened Cheat Engine for at least a year, so I thought, "OK, I'll just uninstall that and the game should boot up." Nope, nothing.

Is there anything else that would cause this to keep happening? It's pretty frustrating to not even be able to start the game, I just bought it!

Try disabling your antivirus. Also make sure you didn't uninstall Redshell.
