What is the point of AI battles?

Why is there AI battle in the game?
I prefer to play the battle and don't see the point to "watch" AI matches.
If I want to learn I go PVP.

It's a way to obtain motherboxes.

Some Multiverse challenges are too difficult for me, so I set my chosen character to use AI. If you set the character's AI to maximize Counters and Combos, the player's AI character will win 99.9% of the time. It's a good way to get rewards that would otherwise be too challenging to obtain.

I just did this in AI battle and beat 3 level 30's with my 3 level 20's for the first time ever. Great advice.

AI battles are kinda cool to watch, especially since you can adjust the AI and equipment. Easy XP for auto grinding too
