2) Yes, it's one of the best fighting games so far.
3) No more.
pvp is dead (maybe total of 10 ppl sitting in rooms) but there is mode where you fight vs ai daily challenges or even watch your team fight ai of other players (like in mobile games), you get loot boxes with gear for characters and level them up, so there is some replayability even for single player. the stage trasitions, clash moves, and super moves are great.
but if you want to play pvp with similar gameplay you might want to cech mk11
funny thing is injustice 2 is still pretty high in fg chart but is pretty hard to find opponent:

You might also get some use out of the cooperative Multiverse clan thing.
PvP is dead and honestly not worth enduring as it highlights some glaring balancing issues such as Aqua's utility, Cheetah's damage, and Swamp's pitiful range. If you're interested in PvP, Mortal Kombat has far superior balancing and a playerbase.
Oh... and Injustice 2 has garbage online connectivity.
