Store page says 16+ if you want an official number.
I'd say it's a bit of a stretch, but there you go.

No gore or dismembermant whatsoever.
There are blood effects present when hits connect.
Certain characters have some pretty realistic scary faces that MIGHT scare a 4 year old.
Overall, pretty cartoon violence. I'd say safe for a 4 year old with some supervision.
He might get spooked by Joker or Scarecrow and stuff.

Seriously it really isn't suitable for a for year old. Plenty of games and othert things they can do more suitable to that demographic.

Sure there are other games, but what if the four year old just watched Justice League and wants the newest DC game? Kids tend to want the shiny new thing.
I played GTA San Andreas when I was like 8, without supervision, and my parents taught me well enough that a game is a game.
Any big budget AAA game these days is fine for a four year old, as long as there's parental supervision.
I'm actually more concerned if the game is too hard for him.

Erm No. Its more like Mortal Kombat does DC. Not for kids. Not by a long shot.

Joker's super might be a good measure of where the game goes, and what the maturity bar is.

I personally don't see how the game would be fun at 4 years old. Fighting games are one of the most technical, difficult, and frustrating genres of games. I honestly don’t know what someone would get out of it that young.

It would make more sense to me if the question was “is the game ok for a 4 year old to watch me play?” At that point I say watch Joker’s super and some other stuff on YouTube and make your own call. Plus side is it most certainly isn’t like MK.

Well, my dad used to let me play fighting games when I was 4, but then again, when I was 4 you could barely distinguish blood in the pixels. And I only got to like fighting games after I was about 10+.

Probably the best game for a 4 year old to play

There are plenty of dc games out there they can play. Go to the lego batman games for example, which they may technically not be "new", but that doesn't really matter and a four year old isn't going to know.

The parent should play and then decide based on the child's maturity.
I'd say no, but I'm a strict parent.

You don't have to be strict to say no to this to a 4 year old. Even if it wasn't an issue of the content, the gameplay mechanics are not something a 4 year old will really enjoy.

Letting a 4 year old kid play this is not a smart choice.
Lego Batman series is a better chioce honestly lol.

Thank you this was the type of info I was looking for.

My son throughly enjoys playing my old marvel vs capcom on PS1 so it looks like he's going to be in for a treat. Cheers.

Why don't you just let him play Minecraft or Mario Odyssey? My 5 year old loves those games and they're little bit more creative than this.

Let him/her play Marvel Vs. Capcom or get a new version of those games! Injustice 2 might scare your child or he/she may not understand some of the dialogues and the story.
As Private Tatoes said before the realistic facial expressions are a little too real sometimes and the child can get scared.
Stick with Marvel Vs. Capcom, maybe some old superhero themed beat em up like Spiderman Maximum Carnage, The Punisher, TMNT IV: Turtles in Time or even Comix Zone.
Cheers!

The only real worry in injussstice 2 isss in the ssingle player story
Zsas getss his throat slit and lies in a pool of blood, aquaman killsss a story character , harley gets impaled , multiplayer only has scarecrow, harley and joker to worry about

Marvel vs capcom infinite is allot better for younger gamer ESPECIALLY because of the Auto-combo system where just spamming x makes you look like your doing awesome combos
Only worry for kids in MVC is Morrigans sexy attire (She is HOT) and the pretty awful reviews on ssteam for it on pc version

Injustice 2 is a far better game then MVCI but the simplicity of MVCI is better for kids

There's SOME rather foul language (SH**, DA**) But the violence itself is fairly fantastical. There's no eyes getting ripped out or guts being spilled, but instead it's just like "OH GOD HIS SPINE GETS SNAPPED" or "He got thrown through a building!"

If you'd let your kid watch wrestling (WWE) style stuff, I'd say this is about on that level violence wise. It's lots of fanfare and "OH LOOK HOW BAD THAT WAS" with no real visible damage.

Red hood's super for example has him shooting his opponent into the air, jumping up and attaching a bomb to their back and then riddling them with holes from the air before shooting the bomb and blowing them to kingdom come....and then they get right back and up and fight like nothing happened.

Edit: I'd actually suggest not letting them into the story mode. The language is more frequent and the violence steps up a bit, with scenes like Victor Zazz having his throat slit by a particular boy wonder in the beginning of the game. You don't see the actual cut, but you DO see him slump over on the floor in a pool of his own blood afterwards and there's quite a bit of talk about sensitive subjects (Never in a positive light though. It's usually refering to "That man was a murderer and a Ra**ist ,he deserved to die!" dialogue, that kind of thing.) [[Thanks, steam censorship. Trying to help people here.]]

But outside of the story mode, if you're just letting them play single-player or letting them build AI teams and pokemon his way to victory, then yeah. It'd more than likely be pretty safe-pickings. The blood is surprisingly less present in the fights than it is in the talking-bits.
