The crack causes extra slowdowns because it needs to load a bunch of code at that moment to patch it.
That said, it does seem this is a bad implementation of Denuvo given that it seems non-pirates have had issues there as well.
I knew about Denuvo in this game, never was good with it, but now causing THIS SPECIFIC issue. What a horrible implementation. From a software standpoint, what kind of checks are these needed to be done DURING gameplay. If any tamper is to be done, wouldn't it be caught at the moment everything is loaded to gpu/cpu? I mean ONE move is ruining the experience for everybody. Robin AND Grodd still are unplayable for many.
I did not noticed anything in Robin (I second-main Robin) but Grodd has had been a problem since April until just now. A Grodd match used to unstable to no tomorrow. Even with a medium-high end CPU. Very frustrating.
And yeah, I had never noticed any slowdown with Robin either, in my game it was just Grodd and Batman's trait on block.
Weird stuff, this is.
So they deleted Red Shell ? I wait for tomorrows sale but I read that this game is s**t with Denuvo so no... until they remove this s**t from game.
The Redshell.dll file is gone but many are saying that the main exe is now flagged by some programs as malware so it seems more that they just hid Redshell as part of the main exe file rather then getting rid of it. The August patch was 2 gigs with no patch notes so you would think if Redshell was truly gone the Devs would have made a post about it since they know it is one of the main reasons people are avoiding buying the game.
Yeap, I'm one of those!
I've just saw the sale and ran to the forum to check if they removed redshell and improved the performance issues caused by denuvo.
I'm worried about the game getting delisted because of the TMNT dlc and some others that might have a license issue in the near future, but redshell and denuvo keep holding be back!
I'm considering even buying the game now and downloading it only way down the line =\
