It's always similar with NRS games. Shao Kahn and Kintaro were a pain in the a** to deal with in MK9, so as corrupted Shinnok in MKX.
What difficulty were you using? I've just played story on normal.
The worst boss character I've seen in the game tho has just been a buffed stats Bane with maxed difficulty...even AI couldn't beat him since he could take off most of a lifebar with a single combo.
It's a pain if you get hit by it and you're not doing well on life...but just keep a good life lead and keep him busy with projectiles or mixup combos really.
Like with Batman abuse his jump 2 and mixup combos. In another game most of Batman's jumps would be punished all day long, but in this game it's central to his gameplay.
Dealing with Brainiac's boss move is better than dealing with Bane and armor really. I figure when they designed Bane they were like...the armor will help him against projectiles, but the armor makes him a total pain to fight otherwise.
There's a reason why in Tekken Hwoarang's armored launcher gets grief.
With Injustice 2 you have to look at it less of a fighting game per se, than a series of abusable things. So, find things to abuse.
The game isn't meaningfully balanced anyhow and counterpicking is a thing.
demon shinnok and brainiac are a bit more hard, but they're still easier than superman on the first injustice
at very hard he was insane! he did a lot of damage and his unlimited trait prevented you from using armored moves
