didnt even realise you could use AI till i just had to google about the bosses due to them being insane tough.
But, if you use Team Viewer, and have access to a computer like me at work, you can use the AI to play for you and level up your characters and profile, and also earn gear.
Then when you are at home play and practice yourself.
It's not a negative at all, it's actually a blessing. I understand your viewpoint, but not all of us have time to play the game. For example, I work full time. Tonight I have about 3-4 hours between when I get off of work and when I have to go to bed for the next day. That may sound like a decent amount of time, but some nights I have that entire time free, other nights I have things I have to do.
On the nights that I don't have the time free to play games, I like to let the AI run through some of the multiverses for me so I can still get lootboxes. All I have to do is return to my computer every so often, hit X on my controller a couple of times, and let it keep running. I hate the fact that this game has mother(loot) boxes, I refuse to spend money on a stupid system like that, but at least letting the AI farm for me while I don't have time is very useful.
So you can think it's dumb all you want, but for me, it's a very nice addition that helps me keep farming for pieces to customize my favorite characters.
For grinding, it’s definitely handy
As far as the downside to AI in the OP? Not much other than that you'll get bored because you aren't the one playing, little less experience, and most of the time you'd rather just take over for the AI because they can be downright stupid.
