Different reasons.

1) Newbies / bad players tired of being defeated by average and above players. Some console players switched to PC version, so...
2) PC version released 6 month after console version. Huge mistake.
3) Game is too bugged.
4) Some players tired of grinding.
5) Many players have too high ping or using wi-fi.
6) Some players don`t like or can`t deal with zoners / spammers.

I wasnt sure about buying it either but this game has so much single player content alone that is 100% worth it i dont regret it. You can still find peoples for online game anyway so go for it.

the standard version is around $38 here should i go for that?

I agree with Reykam. @Krissuchiha, I got the ultimate edition off g2a for about 35, you may want to try there. Game is definitely worth it, even just for the single player. I have this on XB1 liked it so much I bought it for the PC the other day. I've also had no issues with lag from gear or any other crazy bug I've read about here in the forums. Seems a bit smoother on PC than Xbox. Also, load times are much better and graphics are a bit cleaner (shading is way better of course). This PC version is worth every penny of the sale price. Best fighting game console port to date, in my opinion.

ultimate version cost $54+ on sale lol i cant buy that now lol

Just buy the standard game now and buy the Ultimate Pack on a big sale.

Well sure it being PC and when it released later accounts for some of it...but it was never going to have Tekken numbers anyways.

The online isn't that great sure...tho that's not unique to fighters. SFV and Tekken don't shine online either.

I do consider the fighting system itself to be poorly designed...be it up close or projectile. NRS can't make good fighting systems really. I can see what the game tends to revolve around and I shake my head.
I play the game because it's DC really...otherwise I probably wouldn't.

Yeah it might be a while before it's on sale but 40 bucks a lot to ask heh.

If someone really really wants a DLC character...getting one or 2 on their own in the mean time well is something people gotta decide. But just 1 or 2 I'd say.

The DLC characters so far are all obviously designed to be really really strong...to encourage buying them or Ultimate editions etc I suppose.

Tekken has better online than Injustice 2. At least for me.

I can find matches in less than 1 minute with good ping (not less than with 4 bars).

In this game i can wait few minutes only to find someone with 100+ ping and i can`t use filters, like in Tekken.
Search time is too long here and because of lagged gear bug, match can be very slow.
