Xbox One Controller Button Configuration Screwed Up

I'm struggling to play this with an Xbox one controller.

First of all, in the menus; using the A button to select a menu (like in every other game I've ever played) doesn't work, it takes me to downloable content; I have to use the X button. OK, no biggie...

But in the games, the buttons are screwed up. So take Supergirl; the Space port, it says it should be back, left, Y - but instead, it's back, left, B. Sometimes, the game things the Y button is X, and vice versa.

Case in point - on the second tutorial for basic movements, it says:

ATTACK SUPERMAN WITH A LIGHT ATTACK (X)

But when I go up to him and hit X, Batman pulls out a grapple gun and grabs superman and flies up with him and down with him. And what's more, the computer is waiting as though I never hit the X button. It's as though X is mapped as something else.

This seems like it would be a really common problem!

When I try to go to Controller Config, I honestly can't figure out what to do. I see a menu up top that says Custom/Preset and depending on what you say, it changes from Equipped to Equip. Then below that, Xbox One, Direct Input, Keyboard, same thing. Doesn't make any sense to me.

How do I just get the Xbox controller to work correctly, with the proper button assignments? Or is this some huge bug?

I use an xbox one controller without any of these issues. Maybe go into controller config and reset it to default? I hadn't messed with the config at all, so unsure if this would help your issue or not

I use a XB1 controller without any of those issues as well. I would suggest following Dhaunas advice and restoring default settings on your controller through the Xbox Accessories App (if you're in Win 10)

Thank you ! I found a solution there, i will copy it here in case it helps someone else :

The game contains algorithms for preventing double detection, but they are not 100% accurate.
Therefore as of Enchantress patch, the game has a ‘user’ configurable option for disabling DirectInput. The option is located in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Injustice2\UserSettings.ini file; and is labeled as DirectInput=on/off under the General section.
