I don't like this kind of generalization and the arrogance of your first statement. We fought eachother, I played Darkside for the first match, then switched to Atrocitus and eventually lost the set 1-3.

You played Catwoman, with the long range jumping Whip normal you can use meter burn Cat dash off of, the good normals that can be hit confirmed into meter burn Cat dash, a back 3 that can be hit confirmed into meter burn cat dash and a good down 2. So what should a Darkside player do against your Catwoman? Go in with the average at best normals to be pummeled and meter burned to death? Yes, Darkside can really bring the dirt but Catwoman has options against most of his dirt. Darkside has 2 ways to score big damage: back 1, up 3 string meter burn and Teleport stomp. But if you teleport above Catwoman, a better player can down 2 you easily. Using the back 1, up 3 string you must be close and be in a disadvantage to Catwoman's normals or to teleport in, see above. So should I go in into jumping whip range or teleport in to be uppercutted - why exactly? For you to score an easy win?

Catwoman is one of the higher tier characters while Darkside is not. You can spot more and more Catwomans if you watch high level play but hardly any Darkside mains. Spamming is unfortunately a thing in Injustice 2 but if you're good you can play through it. But in a sense we are all spammers. Catwoman players control the space with jumping whip and punish everything with normals hit confirmed into Cat dash meter burn if they have meter and in this game you usually have one to spare or use meter burn back 3. And character power can do a pretty good damage too. I don't remember anything revolutionary from any Catwomans I have encountered so far beside taking advantage of the strenghts of the character. Well-played, you won, congrats!

I also haven't met a player who has 20 different openers or can play 5 different styles with one character. I have never seen a rushdown Darkside or a zoning Black Canary. We have around 40 characters, everyone can find one that fits his or her playstyle. And in most cases you have to have at least one pocket character for difficult matchups or scenarios. Coming into this as a new player can be frightening but it's not impossible to level up. But you can't do it without patience and losses. You will lose. A lot. But ultimately you will be a better player. Just don't expect to be Sonic Fox soon if you start with Injustice 2.
I dont remember exactly your playstyle but you do make very good points.Although i wasnt exactly talking about EVERY darkseid there is.

Sure. Its real-time strategy with full economy of states and heroes and vilians are going to works like in reallife. Injustice 2 is like Sims 4, but more sofistic.
wrong, this game more like shooter, with guns, bombs, lasers etc

its more like a sniper elite mixed with nazi zombies. snipers being the good zoning characters while the zombies are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ people who thought they could go melee in a fighting game.

Ha. I just got this game and wanted to try online mp to see if it was as good as Beta and was matched up with someone that was leaps above me. He must have been trying out a new character (Captain Cold) because when i defeated him 3 times he went for Darkseid. Now i have never seen the horror that was Darksied but dam lol

We then played reselect for about 5mins when I chose someone else and he chose Dr fate... (!!!)

I surrendered just to get a match and see hwo bad Fate was... it took a litle learning but if people will be spamming with DS or DF then i think i will avoid online for a while.

During Beta this wasn't possible and online was actually fun. Defeat was a learning process and winning was rewarding.
Now though it just seems like you need to out spam the spammers lol and I can expect that would largely be the reason why online has fallen off so quickly.

Admittedly though I am very new to this and never played MK style games very much... just wasn't my thing so I expect with time it won't be so bad... i hope xD

Wait, supergirl is op ? Wat ? She is SUPER predictable and punishable once you figured her out she has like 2 possible combo openers that are usable and they are very limited, try to open up an experienced player, it's almost impossible.
I can stomp noobs easy with her but against someone with equal or better skill i get trashed so hard.

To my fellow seasoned NRS players: dont stomp noobs if you want the community to survive longer than two months.

To everyone ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about balance this and balance that:
Learn. Get better. Because I promise you, you aren't good enough for the balance issues to truly matter. PERIOD. You cannot complain about any balance issues if you cant even fuzzy block or read your opponent.

Also, Abaddon is the only legit player in this thread. Srsly.

This.

As a noob I found a few players that were considerate and once in a while reminded me they could whoop my mass.

I wouldn't mind sparring with a few players. No idea what a fuzzy block is. So if interested in helping me learn the ropes please add me.

Not everybody of course but it happens a lot on player matches and lobbies, people lose the first match and they go and put "search for the next opponent"
Try ranked matches! there is not option to leave the match and you are not able to decline your opponent unless the pin is to high (is a first to 3 set).
NRS did a good job with the new ranked matches system
Yeah, really good job. I have 50 wins and 30 losses yet im being matched with someone who has 320 wins and 16 losses. GOOD SYSTEM

As far as I can see, the ranking is not enterely based on win/loses ratio... It looks like there's a score system, which you get moar points if you win somebody with higher ranking/points than you.

Besides that... no need to be a brat... maybe matchmaking system just can't find any better suitable player.

TBH, When you see that you are clearly more skilled than the other player, that's usually a good time to try out other characters you're interested in. On PS4 I'd typically Play Scarecrow and Blue Beetle, but against newer opponents, I'd switch to Captain Cold or DK (Grod).

Yeh I love the score system beat a guy in the top 10 and jumped like 10 spots or it would talke me like 20 games beating bad players feels fair to me. Plus it gives insentive to actuallty play other good players
Gaxkang 2017 年 12 月 4 日 下午 3:40
The close-up fighting follows no intuitive sense and the projectiles are very strong. Chip damage punishes blocking.
And when fighting Supergirl you basically can't jump...and defending against her teleport seems like it was meant for 4 bars only.

The game has major cheese factor.

Mix with questionable online.

If you're not good at the game...I wouldnt worry it's nothing to take that serious. I just view it as a mess around game really....there are some fun fights to be had, but other fights are really cheesy.
To get really good at it you really have to throw out the window other fighting game experiences/logic.

That said, even tho I'm actually not that good at the game I still have a winning record...so unfortunately when people see my win loss ratio they may mistake me as being really good when I'm not and so like decline.

Yeah I wish they'd nix the win/loss ratio showing.

The game has no system of ranks or titles either from what I can tell...ranked mode is like vying for a line on a leaderboard I suppose.

*shrugs* It's probably not even a matter of simply *seasoned players*...the system itself is designed oddly all over the place. It's NRS for sure, and I guess they have yet to really re-examine their design notions. They shine except in gameplay IMO.

And sure after a while you might adapt to the weird design system but it's still what it is. That's what people do in any fighting game anyways, is adapt or try to adapt to the design choices.

Plus stuff has to be done online too....and the online in this is quite questionable.

And incidentally, without comp mode (that is, people agreeing to play in it)...many folks can't reasonably play online unless they are level 20 anyhow, due to again NRS design choice of stats in a fighter.
