Is this game good enough to buy just for the story?

I only enjoy these kinds of fighting games a little bit, but the story looks good. How long is the story mode?

Story mode is roughly 4hrs give or take an hour depending on how good you are as a player and the difficulty you are playing in. Its like a movie experience though. A really good story with constant action. With some of the best facial animation and top-notch voice acting. You need to know the story of the first game though to understand this one else you'll be confused. The story has multiple points where in you have a choice between 2 different characters but it doesn't affect the overall story. The story does have 2 different endings though. So considering 2 playthroughs with different choices the story can be extended to 6hrs but honestly buying a fighting game just for story is not worth it in my opinion. You can watch the story minus the fights on YouTube. Its like a 2 and half hour movie. The game is pricy so the decision is yours.

The story is cool by fighting game standards, but it's in no way worth paying full price for if that's all you're interested in. And since it's a continuation, you'd be better off buying Injustice 1 on sale for cheap, and checking out the story for that first. If you enjoy it, you'll pretty much know what to expect for Injustice 2.

The story mode is entertaining and probably the best among all fighting games, but you can just watch it on youtube for free. It's a 4-hour epic superhero movie.

You don't sound like a fighting game enthusiast, so if the SP portion is what you're interested in, you may get a kick out of the story and general multiverse/chase loot gameplay loop of the game. Neither of those things requires playing against real people, so if that isn't your thing, you're good to go.

I bought the game for the story and singleplayer modes. Have to say I'm really enjoying just doing the multiverse events (the easy ones because i'm bad at fighting games) and unlocking new gear and costumes

I would specify that it's worth buying for the SINGLE-PLAYER, non-online side. The story and the Multiverse will do you completely. The story alone? Only at a reduced price, although it is excellent.

I would say this is one of the best single player fighing game on PC . OK story(about 5 hour), nice cut scenes, good voice acting, good music , very good graphics and animations, exciting gear unlocking, multivers game mode, guilds and their separate multiverse. I think the single player content can last at least 30-50 hour if you enjoy the combat against the AI.

(But as a competitive fighting game its a bit "meh")

To me, I2 History mode plot is far better than Dawn of Justice.
