Any loadout you use will purely be for aesthetics only, so special abilities equipped in the loadout don't work.
Sucks, but that's the way they made the game.
Think about it: It's a way for you to change how a character plays, by altering specials or adding new ones. It can change the way a match is played.
It adds an extra layer of strategy and thought in a match when you have to consider that your opponent's Batman might not be the same as other Batman's you've fought before.
Sort of like MKX's Kombat Styles, but with more variations.
The abilities are already balanced in that the more powerful ones have to use two slots instead of the usual one.
As long as opponents can see what abilities each other have equipped before the match, it could be fun to play and watch, even in tournaments IMO.
Either way, what I meant that the entire point of competitive mode is to disable grindable stuff and bring characters to vanilla form that Paulo and co. were balancing the game around.
bcoz ppl playing competitive matchets spam with superman, darkseid and any long distances character....
And if they dont do that they play as bane i can beat him but those characters who play in long distance and spam with 2 moves over and over again......
i can do nothing about it, basicly haves the teleport abilie legal, and they force me to change characer. Bcoz of that do u think that is fair?
If it's really bad for you, wait for a patch to be deployed on the PC. They nerfed a few characters like that there. Not Supes or Darkseid though. Their zoning is not why they are dangerous in the first place.
bcoz to moves air attack and ground attack and the plus that if i get there u teleport.
So teach me to beat superman/darkseid doing those 2 moves using subzero btw moves that take almost 40 of doing damage
And if u choose bane while is an slow characters who only use grab´s moves bane is easy to beat....but the others god is a head ache.
Yeah i changed to darkseid but i have to level up
move witch is teleport who those moves are default for raiden darkseid and others,. why is "banned" with sub zero? just because is an mk charcter? well then why they put 2 mk characters an a dc game? dont understand then......
What is the reason of breaking ur ass off to get some new abilities with ur favorite character if u can only use them in SP mode.? puf annoying
if they put scorpion they are going to ban scorpion teleport move also? (i know that is there no scoprion is jsut an example) bah anyway i like the game
but some chacarters (btw i dont know how to write that word) are too difficult for me to use like when i am triying to do some combos.....
So, practice.
Fighting games are hard. NRS games are notorious for having stuff that is easier to execute than to counter. That's what we pay for them having low entry barrier. But it's still possible.
Duck horizontal projectiles, walk in. Block what you cannot duck. Slow projectiles can be jumped on reaction, but don't do so proactively. After jumped heat vision (usually air one) or horizontal omega beams you get to dash or slide for free, just don't slide too close since you don't want to slide right into block.
Also, Subs can slide under horizontal projectiles directly. Learn how to tell zap from heat vision and react accordingly. Additionally, clone can be used to cover you from one projectile. Sometimes you can use that to MB freeze your opponent.
Hit training mode and figure out what hits overhead to avoid trying to duck it, such as heat vision MB.
Learn optimal combos, pressure routes and Sub's corner crossup vortex (search for that on youtube or testyourmight.com). Once you're in, you need to make that count.
You can use them in non-competitive player matches. So, not only in SP.
If it will be in base moveset, no. If it's in gear abilities - yes. Just like Raiden has teleport in competitive mode, but doesn't have static traps, while subs has slide but no teleport.
As always, use training mode. You'll get that eventually. Or you can try less execution-heavy characters, maybe you'll like some of them. One of the reason I've picked Bane is because his stuff is almost impossible to drop after like 3 days of practice.
Anyway, good luck. If you need more specific tips, feel free to ask in this thread.
