December 23rd of last year showed just how easy it is for your Steam games to disappear. Most prudent move: Don't put all your eggs in one basket
Team Fortress 2's current state gives a good argument as to why one should buy UWP versions of games you'd otherwise buy on Steam (support Valve, support team stacking)
Granted, those two arguments were only valid for singleplayer or crossplatform games due to Steam having a much larger install base. However, consoles tend to have a larger install base when it comes to fighting games. If Injustice 2's UWP version has the ability to play against Xbox One users, it would be an instant buy. Otherwise, i'll probably pick it up on the Christmas sale on Steam
