With a 2H sword build you really want to invest in heavy armor and grab custom adjustments from the armoured combat skill tree, it will help with energy problems, make a halt also gives 10 max energy and i grab it all the time no matter what build i play.
Tbh, i never grab take aim even though it would make the early game easier, "wasting" a skill point like this sits badly with me.
You can go parry, brace for impact and have like 43% block, as well as a bunch of debuffs on enemies. Plus your other block sources.
push the falling
imo every melee character starts needing some vit somewhere around 10-15
no time to linger + sudden lunge is easy proc for 2h sword on 3rd hit with stance arc cleave or flexible defense from armor. parry is good but you need more which means costs go up which means you're gonna need a good amount of energy and abilities that recover based on max for it to be comfortable.
Good Example is Flamberge,Noble Sword, Knightly Sword.
One has Bleed,One has Extra Stagger, One has Extra Block.
It will depend on your playstyle you either Invest heavily in Dodge, Counter and some Block or you use Reposition skills to Heroic Charge, Stun/Stagger with Battering Ram, Flexible Defense,Arc Cleave and Hewing Strike.
