And Amored combat is good for everyone, not just a crutch for heavy armor users.
I run T5s in full light armor. How are you struggling in heavy armor?
Are you fighting 7 dudes at the same time or something?
I'll cross the river on my heavy shield! I'll use it as a raft! Devs? Devs!
-The sufferings of a heavy armor fanatic, volume XXVIII, unabridged
i can kill 3-4 melee enemies but the problem is when a melee and an archer/mage team up, its free hits.
Light armor is the meta, no drawbacks and a lot of energy
There's like 100+ different equipment in the game. Have you tried using a mix of medium armor?
If you think that light armor has no drawbacks then you definitely haven't been running T5s in light armor.
Ever seen 2 limbs disappear in one hooking chop?
It's about the endgame tier 5 and heavy armor being nerfed too much because it was too good in the early game...
Even if you consider dash as mandatory (i do not) it is still just 2 points into the tree.
Otherwise it is funny as since RtR almsot everyone scream how armor is OP. I had both armored and dodge builds and both worked great - yet each with different weakness and overall the armored was safer at the end.
Can not 100% talk about yesterday patch, there is too much changes and I ahd no chance to see all gear in detail together.
While i don't get 2 limbs choped off, i still get very damaged and bleeding is still pretty bad. The differences are kind of small to be honest, i have seen light armor builds and they are mostly based around high dps so they spent less time in combat than my build.
Injury/bleed/effects wise its more or less the same even if my stats are almost double than light armor.
It's a weird balance, i also died in a t5 with 5 bleeds on me so it's still pretty much rng sadly. I wish they had a better way of balancing or at least keep heavy armor as it was
Weapon tree 8-10 points
Opportune moment 1 point
Push the falling 2 points
What is the problem again?
Drugs are available for energy Regen. End game dungeons are supposed to be a challenge.
If you're having a hard time gap closing, there's plenty of things you can do to make enemies come to you instead.
otherwise Dodge is better for your issue - no hit, no bleed. Heavy is worse in accumualting statuses.
Or just grab Cauterize wounds, that bleed res almsot eliminate any issue you can have with bleeding.
First Aid/Will to Survive. Optionally take Finisher to reset all CDs and spam it again after every fight.
You can use the save editor to refund your skill points if you're unhappy with the armored combat tree
Free injury recovery every 10 turns
on the wiki they have 24 prot, 25% phys res, bleed res 30, fumble 5%, crit avoidance 10, -12 energy, -3% energy restoration.
So they basically nerfed a lot the bonus energy you would get from wearing full heavy plate by a lot and then they changed heavy armor to have less protection, more physical reduction, have more bleed resistance, but have huge penatly to energy and energy restoration, also a huge amount of minus dodge as well.
The aldwyn sabatons reduce energy by 25 and energy restoration by 4%, dodge chance by 19 points.
This is insane, they made heavy armor unusable even with the bonus from armored combat AND having +3 energy on all pieces
You take almost the same amount of damage but have a lot bigger nerfs so it's was just a huge nerf across 3-4 characteristics affecting heavy armor
I talked with a few people on the forums about using claw traps but I haven't tried it yet.
One thing I do know is that their stealth only lasts for 9 turns. If you just fight them near a door, you can just walk away and close the door.
They won't follow you through and they'll lose their special attack buff from going invisible.
