Stoneshard
I am having fun with the game.
Currently doing a spear run, i've done all skill trees with spear and shield being the only ones i haven't touched.

What you guys running this update?

Dual Wield skills full, Axes skills full, Jorgrim Heavy armor passives, with just fireballs to catch the ones that run away hehee. I find that after you max level, you can grind for gear for a long time for further advancement. The caravan is awesome, and The different maps make a huge difference with replayability. Honestly though, I have over a hundred hours on just one map this update. And that is impressive to keep my attention for five minutes let alone a hundred hours. This is one of the best RPGs ever made.

I'll try this one, never did any weapon with Seal of Power.

do it then i firmly believe it is the best spellblade build.
i tried many many different seal of power combinations, this is the best i am 100% sure.
Hey just saw your reply. Definitely interested in trying this out.

I was also thinking of doing electro mace for the cc. Have you tried a lot of hybrid combinations?

2. RoT Flail Jorim
Startedn exactly same.

mind to share what build/armor etc you use?

Currently 4th level. So, whatever I can get. Plan was to work up to a three headed flail, heavy armor, and lots of warfare tree. Make use of the HUGE stagger chance of the flail, + the RoT bonuses to keep foes staggered, and use defensive tactics to counter attack them a ton, swapping to offensive for higher damage cleanup.

The recent patch shook up the plan, and I want to take a look at everything before I get back to the build. The tactics nerf this patch may have killed it, and I'm not sure if the 3-head is the best flail now. Will have to look and see.
I am running a very cheesy ranged xbow build with spear to compensate. Mainly because i want to get the collect all pelts achievement and max out ranged and spear tree.

I open up with a 12 tile range longshot that insantly kills the likes of boars and takes half the health of a bison. The spear is useful for capitalising on immobilization that xbow inflicts and i run away from all my problems using claw traps and dash. The only other tree i have points in is survival for the huntmaster bonus. The animals have come to fear me, i sit upon my bison and bear pelt throne and eat a diet of salted meat exclusively.
I started RtR with Electro Jonna as a safe build to test the waters, it was strong enough, but straightforward and unremarkable.

I'm playing Sword/dagger spellblade Arna now. There's tons of mobility and positioning tricks. Seal of Power/Residual Charge/Body and Spirit damage added to multiple skills that give multiple hits pumps out quite a lot of damage. Just got T5 weapons and the bonus damage from Seal of Power alone is 10. It was kind of rough for a while trying to keep counter chance as low as possible during all this because of the bug causing DW counters to take your turn, but that seems fixed now.
Of all the ones i tried with seal of power staves was by far the best.

hahahaha that is so dope!!! =D
I tried twohanders and warfare as well as spear and survival. I like both - warfare is little bit tiresome if you want to fully unlock it.

yeah because the whole opening up of nature damage to melee was originally conceived to just be a lil boon for sorceresses that occasionally want to melee with a staff.
staff has additional skills that increase spell power and buffs that increase your melee damage after you cast a spell.

tho adding the mechanic as cream ontop of a functioning build to just boost dmg, when all other skill options of increasing damage have been already taken is just good too. Especially if electros debuffs synnergize with your build and you wouldnt have ranged options otherwise.

but i guess you know that.

Hi, im trying the build, i don't even get RoT but i'm enjoying the run, what about the armor? Light, medium or heavy?

err since u dont go RoT i dont really know.
not sure if the build works without RoT.
its kinda what enables the whole build

Right on Target gains weapon damage via agility
so it becomes the most powerful stat
and since you also get damage reduction,
also through other skills,
you can go dodge pretty well
until late endgame it is energy intense
since your cds are really low

so light armor
basically the duelist/fencer line with battlemage gloves
dodge counter crit
no no, im going to play with RoT but i didnt unlocked yet, so light armor then, okey thank u!

Yep, tbh i liked staves more when they weren't supossed to combo all that much with magic, Can't really complaim though, i'm hitting 30 dmg per hit with hail of blows and i'm blocking/dodging a lot of attacks just because i casted jolt twice. Oh and crit is at 30% for some reason.
I'm starting to feel they should do something about that seal of power/jolt uber combo. Now everyone has it. Feels wrong to wield a damn lightsaber.

Must... resist... taking... it...

Don't worry, I'll be in the next round of nerfs, I'm sure. If something is so powerful everyone is doing it, it is too powerful.

I just hope pure mage electromancers are still viable after the nerfing happens.
