I was also thinking of doing electro mace for the cc. Have you tried a lot of hybrid combinations?
Currently 4th level. So, whatever I can get. Plan was to work up to a three headed flail, heavy armor, and lots of warfare tree. Make use of the HUGE stagger chance of the flail, + the RoT bonuses to keep foes staggered, and use defensive tactics to counter attack them a ton, swapping to offensive for higher damage cleanup.
The recent patch shook up the plan, and I want to take a look at everything before I get back to the build. The tactics nerf this patch may have killed it, and I'm not sure if the 3-head is the best flail now. Will have to look and see.
I open up with a 12 tile range longshot that insantly kills the likes of boars and takes half the health of a bison. The spear is useful for capitalising on immobilization that xbow inflicts and i run away from all my problems using claw traps and dash. The only other tree i have points in is survival for the huntmaster bonus. The animals have come to fear me, i sit upon my bison and bear pelt throne and eat a diet of salted meat exclusively.
I'm playing Sword/dagger spellblade Arna now. There's tons of mobility and positioning tricks. Seal of Power/Residual Charge/Body and Spirit damage added to multiple skills that give multiple hits pumps out quite a lot of damage. Just got T5 weapons and the bonus damage from Seal of Power alone is 10. It was kind of rough for a while trying to keep counter chance as low as possible during all this because of the bug causing DW counters to take your turn, but that seems fixed now.
hahahaha that is so dope!!! =D
yeah because the whole opening up of nature damage to melee was originally conceived to just be a lil boon for sorceresses that occasionally want to melee with a staff.
staff has additional skills that increase spell power and buffs that increase your melee damage after you cast a spell.
tho adding the mechanic as cream ontop of a functioning build to just boost dmg, when all other skill options of increasing damage have been already taken is just good too. Especially if electros debuffs synnergize with your build and you wouldnt have ranged options otherwise.
but i guess you know that.
how is energy with dual wield? could you take athletics ultimates?
Must... resist... taking... it...
Don't worry, I'll be in the next round of nerfs, I'm sure. If something is so powerful everyone is doing it, it is too powerful.
I just hope pure mage electromancers are still viable after the nerfing happens.
