Was ancient troll changed?

I haven't fought the ancient troll since before RTR but it seems a lot harder lately?

Troll keeps spamming the heal constantly off cd every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. Recovers 88HP and his limb injuries too.

With how often he uses it, it's barely even possible to chip his HP down before he heals again.

I'm saving the 2h sword charge attack for cancelling it but his heal cooldown is so low I can't always stop it before he gets a free turn of healing in.

I spent 1000+ turns just for him to hover at 50% HP the entire time.

Also, it seems like he's bugged and he's skipping a turn?

Usually the pattern is wait for 'Shockwave' (the ground slam) and kite for 2 turns until the next one. But sometimes he's just skipping his turn whether he's supposed to cast shockwave and standing still without casting or moving?



Before RTR, I completed about 5 character playthroughs and this doesn't seem right.

It used to be a fight that could be done at around level 9 - 12 with patience, but now it seems like it's just a huge DPS check that can't be done until much much later on.

You can trigger heavy injuries on troll by throwing medium(500+) purses and coins at it, they reduce heals which in turn mean you do not need to inflict as much pain and wounds to kill it.

Of course any throwable weapons also work but every build have lots of money and thats 100 attacks per grid so no need to even pick them up again.

Claw traps and caltrops can also be pretty nice.

You can kill anything by throwing gold and diamonds. This is how Luke really destroyed death star.

im using two handed swrod as well and its impossible to kill the troll for me atm. i can barely get his hp to 80% and he just heals everytime. its a full stall. im guessing two handed sword relies so much on counter attack is the reason

You Need Dash,Leg Sweep and Hewing Strike after his armor breaks. Leg sweep is for keeping him damaged. Also probably a T3 Sword for dps reasons.

The ancient troll is still as easy as ever. If it's become more difficult for you, then they've brought it up to a decent level. There must be a bit of a challenge, a boss fight at least ,-)
