CAravan no longer sells back packs? Back pack locations?
Started a mage. Fully upgraded caravan and lv 30 now. No one sells back packs. Where Can I find a better backpack now?

You upgraded to lv 30 and still haven't seen backpack? They're sold at lv1 in Osbrook, at the tanner. He sells simple backpack of 12 slots.

Another backpack, 12 normal slots, plus slots for herbs and potions – you can find such backpack at Hermit's Hut, I believe. Or is it Pilgrim's Rest now? I'm not sure.

edit: there is high chance he sells backpack, but if you don't see it, gotta wait a few days until restock, but I honestly can't imagine how you did not notice it even for once

No I mean Lief and the ranger lady in the caravan no longer sell there back packs. But I just noticed they changed the regular back pack layout to what the back pack they used to sell. All I've found is the knapsack the herbalist backpack and regular back pack.

How are those followers' Loyalty? Maybe there's a requirement.
75% Loyalty is the requirement unless that has changed recently.

they both sold me backpacks last week but yea they dont always have them in stock
They have backpacks but you will reach level 30 a lot faster than they need to get to 75%.
They had them in store for me yesterday
All bags stillsame by me, new char 0.9.13-0.9.15.
But ye, caravan followers need 75% loyalty (but having bag available 100% time after this)

Will I? My first follower is past 50% and I'm only level 17 (which I assume is well under 50% of the way to level 30, given how it takes longer and longer to gain levels).
Yep just unlocked them at 75% loyalty. ARe there any other bags? Liefs seems like the best in the game so far.

Outside of the follower ones... I haven't really seen any good ones.

The Herbalist Satchel actually has a huge capacity, technically 36 spaces. But only 12 slots are generic, 12 slots are nearly useless (herbs), and 12 are not practical (you don't want to spend a turn opening your satchel to get to a potion you need to drink/throw right now). So in practice, it's a bad backpack. Even if you were trying to carry tons of bottles into the dungeon and were willing to transfer them into your inventory before a big fight, you wouldn't be able to use those slots to collect the loot from the dungeon.

The Field Surgeon Bandolier is bad too. It's a weird one, it's technically got 23 spaces but only 8 generic ones (two 2x2 sections, so you can't fit a pelt in there), and the 15 others are all strictly for medical supplies. Now medical supplies are some of the most cumbersome things to carry, you always have to have lots of them on you, so you could make a case for it. But it's 23 slots VS the 20 slots for a generic Backpack. Are 3 lousy slots worth more than the versatility of being able to put anything in the bag, and being able to put larger items in the bag? I don't think so.

I hear there's another one with four 3x3 compartments, which would make it an impressive 36, but I don't know where it is or what its limitations are.
I imagine Herbalist's Satchel will have more use come the Alchemy tree. Herbs are not really useless, they have their uses even now. It's just that most people turn herbs into fodders so, Herbalist's Satchel doesn't see a lot of use.

I recall in a devlog long ago that larger backpacks would give more carry space but in return would confer -% dodge chance or something. I think the devs scrapped the idea. Maybe they need to bring that back, who knows. :P
