trial and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ error after you save near the cave, just keep retrying until it just works, brute force the ♥♥♥♥ out of the fight, also get dash if you ain't got it for mobility. Also consider bringing the book you find nearby to someone wise before fighting.

bring 3 smokebombs, get lifeleech, have 3 vivis, paregoric,
take an antidote before the fight (reists go up for a while) bring aditional antitoxins, surgery kit, splints, bandages (lots) cauterize helps i did it without it

never eat the telegraph.
if u have a breather heal up and leech on skeletons

+1 one the book

As Mimung said. It's one of the hardest fights, you'll have to prepare for it carefully

Not knowing your build, read the enemy stars here https://stoneshard.com/wiki/Manticore and spend some time gathering healing, smokebombs, drugs, nistrian fire etc.

Anything to debuff him and keep you alive. Lots of poison coming your way. Top tier gear needed. Long fight too, eat some damn Michelin level grub to boost your energy restoration and maybe healing received.

Very doable on level 15 or 16 but as my martial arts teacher once said 'will to win means nothing without will to prepare to win.'

My tip for the fight now on RtR is to have some life leech, doesn't matter how much, just that you have some. You'll get chip dmg from the Axonians and that will suck if you don't have a way to recover hp on the go. You could bring a lot of vivifyings but life leech is better.

The only drug I use when fighting the Manticore is Paregoric, being able to ignore Pain build up relieves a lot of the pressure that the skeletons can do. But you can use other drugs if you are certain that you can finish the fight before their duration expire.

If you get slapped by his tail you'll need something to detox, I prefer having a bloodletting lancet with me for the fight.

As pointed by Freeman, the Manticore page on the wiki has some tips you can use to fight it.

you can also prebuff. the lil stone in the center of the ring marks the spot for when the animation starts. dont flirt with him (he cute tho) tell him to eat dust, chances are your buffs are still up.
first turns of the fight he will summon and then do the aoe spikes. so u can throw a smokebomb on his right (range 3 from where u plan to fight), buff up again and charge at him when he does the telegraph.

pray you have all dodge and parry in the world to eat less of bleeds and poisons from his tail.
antidote before the fight helps a ton with poison.
the bleeds is the issue

from this first jugarlo its on you

axonianss cause bleed and can pin.
their tooltip doesnt tell you however.

You don't really fight manticore itself but you need to deal with constant group of skeletons (2 skeletons summoned must be killed under 26 turns) or take it higher if possible like make it spawns 4 skeletons - Kill 1 then it will summon again so it will become group of 5 in total and let it explodes them all by move adjacent to two skeletons so it won't regen (It will damage itself each time it uses random bs so you just need to constantly heal your limbs from the explosion and piercing attacks from skeletons but it's not that bad compared to damage from tail sweep). The important key is to figure out how its jump works since that's the consistency - It's really simple. I fought manticore under leveled around level 20 and finally beat it under 10 tries but if you really wanna power creep, you have opening when it's casting laser, you move adjacent to it to dodge laser and be next to it but make sure its skill that spawns stones from ceiling is available so next turn you just hit and it will cast stones from ceiling then you dodge away and repeat. Still I don't think that's intended way for melee users so dealing with piercing skeletons is the way.
