MAGES, where do you find gear for Magic users?

Am I missing something? There's almost no Mage oriented gear available until Brynn.
Even once you get to Brynn you've got one Armor and one Staff available to buy.

No one sells anything mage related other than a few staves, no one sells any armor for mages and no NPC's or Bosses drop anything mage related until Dungeons 3+.

How are you all gearing your mage stuff?

I am atm lvl 22 too and jsut reached Amity finally..do not think i will realsitically get Respect before lvl 30. it goes painfuly slow with only some 30-50 rep per contract.. 9and that include caravan upgrades)

Denbrie faster Brynn Rep, or RtW for Brynn. if you really want Brynn rep faster hand over all quests to those with Magistrates around as early as Osbrook, The Nobles with Guards like the Mill, Winery/New Orchard.

I usually just hand it over to the Guard Captains for Extra coins though.

Keep in mind that if you do Rotten Willow, you wont recieve Brynn rep.

Also what the other Brøther said: Denbrie.

Also thx for finding out that there is a diff. between handing the crontract in with guards (gold) or magistrates (rep).

Thanks. I think somthign can also be pulled out with selling comodities if you somehow manage ti in some larger scale - just sold two pieces for 19 and 18 rep.

They made most magic-specific armor Tier 4 (at least the one's better than your starting gear as the Runaway Sorcerer) and made it so you cannot buy them from normal clother's anymore. They're only found extremely rarely by the travelling merchant and/or when you hit Amity in Brynn (stupidly long process) and buy from the Alchemical Emporium of Curious Goods. Not sure why they made it ridiculous to get decent magic-orientated armor this update.

this thread is the perfect example of why this game has "mixed" reviews.

That armor is marginally worse than the starting gear you get as a Runaway Sorcerer btw. I played 8ish hours with the same starting gear because nobody sold better magic gear outside of one (1) seller in Brynn who sold circlets that were better than the hood you get.

Selling Trade goods to Brynn? Not sure how That's gonna be fast but, Miller flours to Baker maybe? Not sure for his grain sacks and Brewery Alcohol to Inns, Winery and then Orchard (Don't Do Death hive here unless you're really Strong Melee or Mage with T3 spells). Logistics gonna be Hell and it's gonna eat a lot of Caravan space and Time but hey maybe someone could try making money this way 🤔

There is plenty of commodities around, with fully upgraded caravn storage it should be easy to just ride around map pickup 10+ items and sell them - that would be equivalent of some 5 turned contracts. I just dont feel for it atm:p

And yeah that 3 hives at orchard were super pain for me as melee. had lot sneaking around to find some spot from where I shoot to hive without trigger all stringers at once - still had to fight a lot and usedsome antitoxins and anti poisons adn vivif. essences there.

Simplest is to do contracts and turn them in to magistrates.

Most effective, but complex would be to do contracts, and grab a trade good or two between each contract, stockpile them, and when there are no more contracts, make a run to Brynn to sell off the trade goods.

just sell them. You do need the caravan upgrade though, of course

In theory, you could even buy them back from the merchant and sell them again for more rep. I have not tried that, so I don't know if that would work, and it would be really expensive, but if you were rolling in gold and needed rep, it would be a thought.

for me, it is the first contract, then the brewery, detour to get the carpenter his plane, head to the brewery, go to the farmstead, clear it out, back to the brewery, back to town, yell at the elder, get the cart, go to Brynn.

Then to Mannshire for the old contract, or back to Osbrook for more contracts there.

1-2 H to Brynn sounds about right. Not that you'll have a lot of money or rep for anything.
