Should i just not bother to identify blue/green weapons?
ill do a 2 or 3 skull dungeon and get weapons that are blue but they are all like 3-10 durability so no one will buy them, on top of that ive wasted the ident scrolls(which isnt much but still).

should i only identify equipment that i might be able to use as unless i spend a heap of gold repairing it all this "loot" is useless.

I've never played a game that makes loot you get in reward be actually harmful to you 90% of the time.

maybe once i get higher level or do dungeons farther out the blues will be better?

Edit: this wouldnt be so bad if i could dismantle weapons and repair them with the collected pieces like you can with armor, in fact that would be pretty cool as it would be like working towards your upgrade so in the case of armor im pretty okay with it, its just in regards to weapons it feels like such a non starter/disappointment.

I guess don't bother, im not even picking up equipment, just valuables, consumables, and materials for crafting.

Equipment only if its better than what you have (aka upgrade) and repair it

You will probably never find blue T5 items anyway (unless they changed that), so why bother? Its sad that we will never have full blue worthy equipments, the extra stat could be amazing.

If the weapon is damaged you can't sell it without repairing it first.

So i don't see the value in identifying or even picking up if they aren't in good condition. With the exception of personal use of the item for a curse or checking for better enchanment to upgrade to.

Thats my issue, i cant see if its good/state of repair without identifying it first.

I have found a few rings in quite good condition but almost never are weapons in good condition.

If we could dismantle weapons like armor and repair with the pieces it would be different, would be great then.

Heres my rules; Visual, Color, and Size.

For the most part anything green is worthless unless it looks like its a higher level item and you would like to use it by all means save and repair. There are some higher level armors you can find and provided they look decent aka not all ragged and messed up you can usually get decent coin were talking 200 easy. For rings and belts just toss it, not even worth the identify scroll.

If its blue and you want it, repair and keep. Otherwise it has to visually look good condition otherwise its junk.

There are so few items in the game you can look at the stoneshard wiki page and visually identify the armor and get an idea what its worth.

Hope this helps.

I am nto aware anzthing changed now with last patch in this regard, so:

- enchanted items have exactly same value as without enchant
- that means there is noe xtra benefit to pick them over anything else + you need count the cost for identify
- enchant can be in fact curse and cursed items has no value and must be either disenchant to sell or sell to unique chars (basically never worthy bother)

So as rule of thumb pickup and identify only items where is chance you will use them yourself like all jewelry.

In case of armors and weapons you can esitmate the damage by look on it., but 90% equipable items has condition below 50% now and is useless either way.

Ah, but with the update, enchanted items became more expensive than non-enchanted ones... But just a little. And taking into account the fact that merchants generally take weapons for about 15% of the price, it’s worth taking things out of dungeons only if there is absolutely nothing else to take.

Personally, I would rather pull out two heads of cabbage than some idiotic two-handed misery.

Cost to identify is now down to just 10 coin, so that is much easier to deal with, but you still will not make decent money unless the item is in good repair, so I would only grab it if you think you might use it yourself, or if it looks visually like it is in good repair and there is not better loot.

Identify all items, especially stuff you can use for your build, its only 10gp for an ID scroll. I've found pretty good green and blue rings/accessories from identifying them, good stats, especially for early start.

This literally did change in the last patch. The rest of your post seems based around this false point.

I don't think they are much more valuable now though, so most of it probably still stands lol.
