definetly need a manual save mod
or devs could just made it so that game saves when you wait/rest in the world
I just checked and I was wrong below.
There is a save on exit in permadeath. I assumed there wasn't because of all the threads about not being able to save.
--------------
The reason I agree isn't because for me it makes a difference in-game. It doesn't. I play permadeath and I like it.
It is because if I get interrupted IRL during a Stoneshard session I either have to leave the PC on until I get back, or abandon the session.
That's just inconvenient.
There's no save on quit for permadeath?
It's pretty fast, have the two folders open in the background, Escape-save out of the gane to the main menu, alt-tab and copy over the file. Go back into the game. Just mildly annoying enough that it doesn't invite savescumming but good enough to save on every floor of the dungeon or before the boss.
That ceased to be true years ago. It has had save on exit for a very very long time. Might want to edit your post now that you know you have been actively spreading misinformation. Just so other people don't accidentally read it an get confused.
I thought that was not available when playing permadeath.
Will edit post of course if incorrect.
you should be able to save wherever you want and as such i dont understand why the devs are so vehemently aganist it and havent implemented it yet after year(s) of the community beging for this feature. The game is hardcore as is, no need to add real life and technical issues (crashes) to the mix, those could be prevented by propper save system
Yeah, sure. And what's the most downloaded mod of all time for Kingdom Come? Yup, "Unlimited Saving."
It's the same in every game with this kind of dumb as f*** save system. Except for a very small percentage of players who, for whatever reason, like things being tedious, the vast majority of people hate it.
it adds tension, simple as that. like, when you make it from a run, wounded and tired, but with a bag full of loot, stumbling through a forest, praying not to get ambushed, I mean thats why we play those games no? if you need unlimited saves or a crosshair for a bow in a game like KCD, you should play something else imo.

So....
What are people actually talking about when they are complaining about the save system, because there does seem do be some strong feeling about it?
Just because you have unlimited time to waste doesn't mean the rest of us do.
