shield tiers
hey.

is it me, or shields are barely getting better with higher tiers?
heres tier 2 medium shield VS tier 4 medium shield.

am I missing something? how I see it right now theres no reason to spend the money (especially compared to the armor right underneath it :D )

One of them are proper medium shields (on the right), that have increased block chance and block power, but don't give block power recovery and have worse penalties. The other one (on the left) are rider shields, which have worse block stats, but much better block power recovery and lesser penalties.

ah ok, thanks.

I guess I have been unlucky as I have only seen cavalry shields in Osbrook, be it level 3 or 4, here or at the carpenter.
and i'm not ready to take on a heavy shields penalty (yet)

will wait for one of the "proper" ones then, thanks again :)

You could try checking out Brynn's carpenter bailiff. They have a much larger selection of good, so it'll be much easier to fish for the desired item there.

I havent completed any of the bailif quests yet.
only have 3 iron ingots, and no idea yet where to find emeralds.

but i'm only about to do my first tier 3 dungeon, i've held from completing the old contract quest. so for now i'm assuming things will come in time. i'm in no rush.
i'm already happy to get occasional tier 4 stuff from Mannshire during fair time :).

thanks for replying still, and thanks for making this game, really like it so far :)
