Few questions to cooking?

1) are there somewhere recipes outside of cooking menu? Please dont tell me it is available only at cooking pot or I will need have wiki/external source opened all the time...

2) Is there more recipes in time?

3) Where to get starting resources? For most simple recipes I still miss at least one ingredience - for example Onion. And no Osbrook trader have it in stock.

You can find recipes in shops or as loot in dungeons. They get added to the cooking menu when you read them. You also can't cook something if you don't know the recipe so no meta gaming it.

Usually the npcs that sell vegetables will have the resources, it's just that their inventory isn't fixed, so it can happen that a certain ingredient might not be available at that moment

Yes it seem like the recipes can only be view at the cooking menu, recipes can be bought or find, as for the onion you can often substitute it with wild leek.
