When do merchants restock?

Is it every time you sleep? Or is it every few days?

Does loading a game reset their inventory?

What about exiting the game, and then restarting? Does that differ from simply reloading?

They restock over time and, iirc, on char death.

They restock over time and on loading up your save, like when you die.
this means you can force resets by loading up your save file.

If you are on a quest it stops the reset? Because thats what i'm dealing with atm.

If they keep having the same items, sleep at the inn until night time. Walk outside and make sure the vendors walk away from their areas, then go back and sleep at the inn again until 6am (this is when the shops open).

Then go outside and check vendors. If they don't have what you want, reload your save and it should reroll their stock. Just keep reloading until they have what you're looking for.

I'm sure that eventually they will patch this out, but for now, it works.
