Please focus on Character Creation

I'm sorry if this is inappropiate, but I've been playing this game alternatively for years, and my most expected thing since I got the game was the ability to make my own custom character.

This is not to say that I don't enjoy the game I gave it a thumbs up for a reason, but it would make my experience much more enjoyable if I could make my own character to better immerse myself in the world.

Not really, it was added to "High Priority" relatively recently - we plan to implement custom characters within the next couple major updates.

If you look at the roadmap you linked, you'll notice that the major update after Rags to Riches didn't feature Custom Characters. Now, however, CC have all the chances to be implemented not long after RtR.

We're very much aware about the demand for this feature, so quite a lot of things were moved around to implement CC the right away (along with traits, origins, customization etc) sooner than we originally intended.

Agreed. But meh, this opinion is not popular right now. Plus the original roadmap has stealth being very least priority so, I dunno anymore.

People who want CC can actually take comfort in Beholder saying a few other custom characters will be scheduled after RtR.

This is because to make CC, you need to make new characters. (Duh.) The devs made a few new custom characters. I doubt they'll make said characters without considering the processes they took to do so, and then not applying that experience to the development of the CC system - because that would be really short-sighted. In other words, making custom characters is probably the devs' training and testing ground. If we see fruits in that area, then that is good news, no?

The traits system will also come out alongside CC, I believe the devs mentioned this long ago. So, if we get more custom characters, more different traits, we'll start to see how CC might look like. Because if we're stuck to 5 different traits the way it is now, I doubt CC will make anyone happy. Most people will hate it for being too simplistic, and then the few that enjoyed it will ask for more after a few hours to a few days. Me included.
