What's the difference between nature resist and magic resist?

i've noticed that some armors offer nature resistance, while some like the magic coif offer magic resistance. Is there a difference between the two? Is one better than the other?

Nature Resist reduces damage from fire, electricity, poison and the like, while magic resist resists unholy, arcane damage etc. Think of Nature resist as more common forms of damage while magic resist is for more uncommon things. Unholy tends to come up pretty often since undead/cultists make up a good chunk of the enemies.
