fighting young trolls with a 1h mace/ shield build

howdy folks, i am having a rough time fighting young trolls. The advice i am given is to destroy the accuracy through bodypart damage but my one attack that targets any body part targets the head and has a 12 turn cooldown. both of the troll's attacks either have range or knocks me back far too easily and i can never stay in melee with it. any tips?

Your build doesn't matter.

What level are you fighting them at?

You should probably be around lvl 13-15 before fighting them.

Every item you have should be enchanted/cursed.

Use pots/elixirs and traps if needed.
