Bags
There really should be more bags..
Hermit's Backpack should like twice size.
Some elven backpack - bigger than hermit's
Herbalist pouch - size same as coin pouch but for ~~10 herbs because herbs are worthless anyway and take huge amount of space in inventory
Big coin pouch - 2x2 size but hold 5k gold
Valuables Chest - chest for gems, silver and golden valuables
Weapon bag - bag for mass-transportation of weapons

Also UI works a bit awful with backpack. Because when trading we can't open backpack. We have open it before trading, then move items to main inventory and only then sell them. I think backpack should open automatically when trading.

While I don't agree about most ''make it bigger'' points, I agree about backpack UI. We should be able to open it in shops personally I would go a step further on that, and make it so opening and closing backpack does not eat a turn.

As for Your points though :

1. Hermit backpack being twice the size I would agree on only if it was turned into ''unique unique'' and had a serious demerit for wearing it that couldn't be dealt with by just throwing the backpack on the ground. Something that has a small chance to eat Your turn for every filled slot inside of it for example.

2. Even bigger backpack than upgraded backpack that would be nuts as it is alredy enough space to fit every valuable item inside a dungeon, and You will only lack space if You're trying to also grab worthless broken weapons on top of that.

3. Some herbs have great value alredy and in the future those are supposed to be even more valuable, there is no point in carrying more than 2-3 plants with You though, and thats mostly for bosses where all You take is healing items, potions and such.

4. There is a bank if You need to store more gold than You can store in taverns or caravan near Brynn.

5. Thats literally any chest or furniture that is alredy in the game, and if You mean something to carry in the inventory then well.. there is inventory for it.

6. Weapon bag - at this point You need a truck implemented to carry all that, not bags ^^

On the side note, most of those things will be alleviated with upcoming caravan update where You will be able to store items inside and if You just want to pick up and carry every stick or broken axe worth 3 gold with You then it's not really a game like that.

Well I kind of make 3-4 trips per dungeon trying to bring loot from dungeon. And most of that loot I throw on the ground next to a market. Those items don't disappear, nobody steals them. In my runs, cities look like absolute garbage bins. Soo I would really love some more space.

Wow... 3-4 trips, that takes dedication. Most I've ever done in recent days is 3 trips, and that is just once. Most of the time I just take 2 trips, and throw out supplies if I need more space. Bandages are easy to replace after all.

And then you are ambushed on you way back and end your permadeath run because you are bleeding. :D

Honestly I almost never take the 2nd trip, since after taking every valuable item there was, going back for those broken weapons and such most of the time won't constitute for 10-15% of what I alredy made there, and I feel like it is way more beneficial to get another contract since I will get way more money and progression this way.

Maybe if dungeon was really short then yes. But in huge 2 level dungeon, with secret room? That's at least 2 full inventory of valueables. Also depends if you half of your inventory is food, meds and potions for every possible occasion.

Going back for broken weapons is the definition of Min-maxing the fun out of the game.

Herbalist's pouches/cases are planned afaik. Probably when alchemy ability tree is introduced.

But apart from small cases for components, there won't anything bigger than the backpack we have rn. Inventory management is an important part of the game after all.

Yeah, thats why I say almost never instead of never, if there is something of actual value then I'd take even 5 trips, but due to the fact that I only take what I will need and I am not afraid of throwing out few cheap medical/food thingies I almost never have to make that 2nd trip, because all that is left for me is broken weapons and to get them I need to buy some food again and my armor degrades a bit on the way back as well if I don't take it off.

Generally I buy some 2 stacks of bandages, 2-3 oitments 2 splints, health potion, sometimes buff potion, bottle of alcohol, rarely drug item, smoked ham, 1-3 small one use food items, and I fill my belly with veggies in the morning to keep immunity high. With that I got space to take everything I need with me, I go back without having most of those and repeat with new dungeon.

Everyone plays the game however they enjoy it, so I am not saying that there is something wrong with going back for rusty gear at all, especially because I know people do it a lot. I am saying that I don't really do it because in the long run it gives me less income than spending that 2nd day doing another dungeon and I like to be efficient :P.

Yeah, I understand that. As you said, it's more efficient to just go to another dungeon and that's the intended way to play.
Going back for trashy loot isn't intended, you have to make decisions on what is worth it to carry back and if it's even worth it to go back.

Having a pouch for herbs could make sense, considering that Alchemy (and to lesser extent, Sabotage) is supposed to be its own Utility skill, but that's about it.

I wish we could turn items in the inventory but I completely get and understand why they can't do it, would just be nice to be able to do, honestly usually I'll drop everything big at the main dungeon entrance inside then do the same at the 2nd floor doorway if needed then just highlight and pick stuff up on the way out, also you can just drop stuff outside the dungeon the outdoor dungeon map tiles never despawn items, so worse comes to worse if your next run gives you very little to go back with you still have pelts and stuff to take back
POWER WITHIN USER Dec 6, 2022 @ 11:30am
Inventory size is fine; but only after you get the 2 first aid skills (+magic/nature resist) so that you don't have to move around with a dozen inventory slots wasted on healing items.

Pelts are worth too much yet nightmarish to move around.
Maybe it'll get better when you can move things around with wagons, but then you'll be emptying out your inventory to haul 5 pelts at a time, to a shop 3~5 map loading screens away.
Can't imagine how things are going to be when you'll also need to carry herbs and other items around for alchemy or cooking.
