The game hasn't even been completed, and people are already figuring out ways to cheat.
Zerorise, you suck!
(Devs: Sorry for the flame, but something needed to be said, and that was as polite as I could make it.)
All OP is doing to making it easier for people to enchant their gear so they don't have to waste all of their time save scumming.
If someone wants a certain enchant on their gear, they WILL do it. So why not help them out and make it a little easier for them? I don't want to spend 20k+ gold on Enchantment scrolls, and I don't want to spend 2 hours trying to get the right enchant. And I'm sure many people feel the same way.
If you don't like the idea of it, then don't use it.
I won't. And apologies for my outburst. But, as a pure player, who is opposed to things like modding (because it feels too much like cheating), I just felt the need to say something.
But you should stay away from games like Skyrim then lol
This will make enchanting useful instead of running in dungeons to find the rare 2 enchants items, and will become a good moneysink when you reach level 10 and over, as there's already really nothing worth to buy in the game and everything you sell will give you so much money there's not even sense in selling stuff.
I just came back to the game again to check out the new changes, after a bit of playing with Jonna I got my first staff upgrade and wanted to enchant it with a bit of extra magic power cause I needed the extra oomph, since my second quest was pretty hard. 300 attempts later (yes with save scumming) I got the magic power enchant exactly 0 times... yeah before the change there was a lot of save scumming to get the max enchants, but from what I remember it was at least possible to get SOME magic power enchant within a reasonable amount of tries.
Chill out man, basically the only long-term hope games like these have is a vibrant community that is lead by modders. Hell even AAA games rely on great modders to succeed (think Europa Universalis, Stellaris, CIV, PUBG). You should be excited ANYONE is gonna mod the game, that's free content for everyone.
I used to just use a JSON file editor to tweak the enchant after using a scroll on an item.
What sucks is the current implementation of Enchanting.
Glad that OP did this. Maybe it won't be necessary in the future after the devs finally get around to overhauling the system that they have already acknowledged is just a placeholder.
I noticed on the right the list of "known enchantments" is missing the HP/energy buff enchantments.
It has the following info when selected with the tool:
id = 11
enchant = HP
IGN = N/A
amount % = 6
OverallAmount = 6
id = 13
enchant = MP
IGN = N/A
amount % = 11
OverallAmount = 16
I believe the amount% and OverallAmount for these enchants actually scale off of item level when they occur naturally ingame instead of being hardcoded
Thanks again for the program it's pretty cool
Anyhow good luck with the modding, and don't get burnt out of shape IF the game veers in a direction different than this. Keep at it and I'm sure a portion of the community will welcome it.
