Then make a beeline for magma rain. Once you have that you can start diversifying for passives, but the game is also easy mode from that point on.
PS: eventually you can ditch the bow and just carry a staff for the bonuses, and a cheap melee backup loadout to break stuff).
I think someone posted before with the right gear and enchantments they were getting back more energy than they were spending on spells by the end of it
Jonna is actually the most powerful character in the game, and not by a little. The magic trees are already the 2 most fleshed out trees in the game, and her passive is amazing.
She is a somewhat slow starter, depending on your build, but I have not seen any other build even come close to outputting the kind of damage that Jonna can.
Honestly, if you are having trouble w/ kiting and getting killed by enemies, it might be best to start w/ your 2 points in Runic Boulder + Spikes for CC, and then go into the Pyro tree.
Even if you aren't, having 2 points in Geo for Boulder / Spikes is still definitely recommended. Those 2 points give you SO much flexibility and an option for damage when it's raining.
For enchants, you'll want +energy and +energy restoration on everything but your weapon. You can pretty much get away w/ whatever you want on your weapon. I like crit%, crit efficiency, magic power, or -spell energy cost.
You can use fireball on the ground and have enemies step into it to ignite them before you get Melting Ray, or while it's on cooldown.
Some people don't know this. You don't need Melting Ray to reliably burn enemies for the damage bonus.
Yes, Fire Barrage. The first skill that shoots 3 fireballs.
You just need to understand how everything works and then this game become very easy.
And best way to understand is just play the game, not ask for help on forums.
by level 3 or 4 things start turning around. Until then its a life or death thing every single turn.
s couple levels past that and she should be able to take out an entire army.
Some things that might help...
hit and run,.. hit and run.
also, dual wield daggers to kill the enemy quick if they close up... or get a shield
armored boots and armored gloves... you dont need as much regen as you get. Bonus damage is marginal. Armor however, is life saving.
Just take a look at how wrong you're.. Asking in the forum made lots of people with good intentions reply their opinions. And when someone on the future searches for this topic, will probably find my post and get the answers he/she needed..
Don't be a d..
I dont particularly care for bad questions or bad topics.... something made from simple ignorance that would have taken a few seconds of searching or trying things out oneself. But we have all been there and theres no harm in it. If I didn't just assume all characters get a rough start, I would have reached the same conclusion in asking for help.
but even more than that, I strongly dislike topic killers... someone who comes in and tells you to not question things or not ask for their opinion. As I like to say, I trust other sources about as much as I do random opinions on the forum... so I like to get feedback from all sources. You'd be surprised at how often a forum helps more than playing the game or checking a guide would.
Cheers LouCris,... keep asking away. We all learn when we discuss.
