Here's how to edit your save
First locate your save folder.

It'll be here: C:\Users\(Name)\AppData\Local\StoneShard

Next, locate the file that says Gameslot1, open it with Notepad.

Now the tricky part. Once the information is open, locating your stats, money, etc is all about memorizing what you have.

For example, in your gold pouch, buy a night at the inn, save. Remember your money count, stat points, ability points, etc. Locating them via searching for the amount is the quickest way to do so.

Now enjoy the game until the difficulty and save functions are properly dealt with.

Stack = Crowns
SP = stat points
AP = ability points
XP = current xp (when you log back in after making changes, you will see yourself leveling up in the log)

Standard disclaimer, edit your save at your own risk. I am not responsible for any corrupt saves. You are.

Oh and don't pick up any gold if you edit your pouch. You'll reset the count to maximum, 2000.

What's wrong with the difficulty?

The value type to find anything on CE is Double. The main problem with that is you have to have a little wiggle room with your guessing.

A lot of people have been struggling. This is a way to bypass any issues until it's patched later.

The game is supposed to be difficult.

I don't see any problems with the difficulty, there is nothing "to be patched". maybe they will ADD another difficulty for the very special crowd of new age gamers who want to be spoon fed, we will see, but the difficulty right now is fine.

Difficulty aside, you can also backup the folder in the event you break your save or have manual seperate character save files.

The other thing which I did for a new run because the new updated recommended it, is jump start a character back to where you were and skip the initial XP grind/build new character builds by reloading until the shop sells the skillbooks you need. Jorgrim the Battle-mage kicks lotsa butt~
