I see why you want to rotate stuff, but why changing it as it is? It gives the whole thing some sort of oldschool Diablo-vibes which appears to be the intention of it anyway.

I think it is a design choice for not being able to rotate items, but in my opinion the choice is poor. It adds whole new level to the gameplay and is quite fun for the players, one of good contenders for next big roguelike is a backpack hero which revolves around it as a whole, and players do seem to love it as it is expected to go quite big for such a tiny game.

Well they did use the search function as they found this almost 3 year old thread, but of course 2 threads below is the dev saying a strict no to the idea

To be fair, they were also saying strict no to the idea of save on exit years back, so in this case it is better to make a new thread than necroing 12 years old one :P
