With a new season comes a full wipe of all in game items, currency, bases, levels, missions and GI. The only thing that will not wipe at the start of the new season will be your skins, skin crates, and X-Coin.
It's likely because everyone is anticipating a server wipe and don't want to put in the hours grinding. That's why I stopped playing a couple months ago.. been waiting since then to start playing again. While I understand why the devs want to polish some things before starting a new season, in my humble opinion I believe they could have just wiped on schedule and kept working on the game for the next one.. It's not like the game isn't playable, it's actually quite good!
Devs, if you are reading this, please consider just giving us a server wipe so we can get back to our daily grind, and keep working on the fixes for the next round. That said, IF you know that a wipe is not going to happen for some time, let us know that too.. If I thought I had potentially a few more months before you are ready for the new season, I'm happy to jump back in and have some fun without feeling like I'm wasting time. The game is fun! We all want to play! Just not with the uncertainty of putting hours in planning and building, only to be reset the next day.
Midseason wipes have been discussed. We haven't made a decision, but next season we could test it. I spoke a lot to the challenges in discord that we aren't set up for it and it would take a lot of coding to be able to make it happen, among other things. It's not off the table, but something that we would have to do a TON of work to make possible.
every
single
one....
how is it not fair to start from scratch... WHEN EVERYONE ELSE IS TOO
like wtf did i just read...
( btw missions are not server locked ) if you dont want to do the pvp missions guess waht your questign ends there... that is how games work. you dont get to decide how it works WHEN YOU DONT DEVELOP it ... like we dont even OWN THIS GAME... we OWN A LICENSE TO PLAY IT... none of the missions were bad in fact most were incredibly easy... for the rewards you got....welcome to risk vs reward buddy
( maybe one day they will g ive a chacne for you to just cancel said mission ( yet that would screw the overall pool up and EVERYONE would just cancel all thet starter quest to get tto the one with really good rewards ) which would be exploited
Personally I agree with the dude and I know most all of them do it. It just seems like a cop out for end game design. Even in Rust I think it still is lame af that you basically just delete the server seed folder off of your hard drive and that's the end game. At the very least like design an in game catastrophe or lore based reason why the game wipes.
The Matrix Online Devs are not forgotten. :D
Don't mean you do call games dead or think its dead don't make it so to everyone when its a fact its only dead to the people who call it dead.
Sad thing is that so many players forget that the "Dead game logic" can be used on ALL video games that is on this planet or will ever be on this planet from the past and to the beyond of our lifetimes, No matter what game you play or think of playing, it will in fact be dead, again! based on the dead game logic otherwise the games on this planet in many ways are more than alive and well even when its call dead.
The truth is all games are in fact dead and alive in their own ways and nothing we say will change that but we can still enjoy the games no matter how alive or dead they are and its true no one is forced to play games that don't want too.
The truth is never changed from what it truly is.
The story of this and all steam games speak a story of their own on how dead/alive the games really are in the end.
You can keep games alive by thinking of them too just so you know, that is how many games are not forgotten because in the end once a game is forgotten that game really would be truly "dead" just some words to think about.
