The alternative is to rush to her location while being chased, picking her up quickly and trying to make it back before losing your ship.
Whichever one is more entertaining for you.
There's a couple missions with 'hidden' timers like that, but they're all do-able even with some fuffing about.
This is really one of THE most frustrating maps in the game. Purely because the AI can steal scavengers while i can not.
The problem I have is that spamming APCs is my preferred way to beat that mission, and it causes horrendous lag for some reason in BZCC.
There's 4 pools you can use. You start with 1, there's 2 empty scavs, and then there's the single lost scav to the east.
So you can just go from the starting point to SE, snipe the first Guardian (and take out the rest or just hope that they will not see running to the sniped Guardian and entering it), fly to Shabayev, take her (and be careful that the Sentinel patrolling nearby does not notice her entering the Guardian) and fly back.
