This game was specifically built for compatibility with modern operating systems. Compatibility mode is going to cause more issues than it solves, and running as administrator should be equally unnecessary.

There are bugs, and i have one, with me using my modern operating system i can not create profiles on the game it self, unless i use compatibility i am sure they'll fix it eventually.

Iirc we used to get that in v1.3 when people had folderprotection or somesuch turned on so the game could not create a file for the pilot. By any chance running Vista?

It tries to make a 'pilot' file in the following location:

[documents]\My Games\Battlezone Combat Commander\pilots

Have you changed the location of 'documents'?

So far every instance of pilot creation that's been resolved has been the cause of antivirus software interfering with BZCC's ability to write files to My Documents. Try temporarily disabling any you might be running and see if that helps.

i have checked that folder has nothing there, i unselected the compatibility mode off, and i still cant make a profile and the one i did make disappeared, i have not changed the location of documents, to me everything is in order.

Apprently you were right about that, i found something about a protective folder that it couldnt change, so i ended up fixing that, and now everything seems fine.

Which application was it, if I might ask? That would allow Rebellion to add it to the list of AV providers they need to nag.
