MPI Games without Gun Spires

Is there any way to start an MPI games without those blasted gun spires on the Scion side???

Gun spires are countered by using Mortar Bikes for ISDF or by using Assault mode on most Scion units, but you need like 6-8 of them to reliably kill 1 single gun spire

If you go into the map options, go to page two, and select "Default with empty scouts" for starting recycler, it should get rid of the gun spires.

Manual Detonation Mortars are your friend. Not for the MD capability, but for their slightly longer range and their increased damage on impact with armed buildings and units.

Early game you can send a Scavenger in to grab the Gun Spire's attention and then rush in and destroy the Lung.

Map Options, set AI Scrap Cheat to 0 or 1; that setting is used for AI starting force, too.

I think isdf missile scout with shadower will also kill them reliably

AI Scrap Cheat and AI Starting Force both use the same variable setting in the shell options, so if you set AI Scrap Cheat to 0, and AI race is Scion, you won't get any spires.

experiment with the setting to see the difference it makes.
