OK here is how to use playstation controllers.

1. For PS3 you need to use this program here:

https://github.com/nefarius/ScpToolkit/releases/download/v1.6.238.16010/ScpToolkit_Setup.exe -- This is the program you need to install

2. For PS4 you need to use this program here:

http://ds4windows.com/ -- This is the Website for it

https://github.com/Jays2Kings/DS4Windows/releases/download/v1.4.52/DS4Windows.zip -- This is the program you need to install


With this you can use your PS3 or PS4 controllers on any game on steam including this one.

If you have the controller plugged in by USB and followed those instructions above, it will detect automatically.

YOU can't change that in game because they programmed it to show that, for some games it will know itds a PS4 controller and show the X, O, etc buttons instead.
