On 2 occasions just fell through the map to oblivion

Twice have I fallen through the map and when I sorta looked up I saw the "level/map" dissapearing, when I looked down it was really like I was falling and falling.
All I could do was quit, so not save quit, then at restart I was at the beginning of map again.
I don't know if it's because I was in 3 hour session and it could be memory/cache problem ??
So don't know if I can help fix this. If it's even worth mentionning.

Btw. Great game so far, really really contagious and addicting.

We apologize for the issues that you encountered. While playtesting, we did fall through the game world before, and they were rare and random, and we were unable to recreate them. Some players did not seem to have that issue while others have. The current solution is for us to fix the save data for anyone who happened to save and quit after falling through the world.

Do you remember the 2 locations where it happened?

Also, remember to revisit or pick up anything important in the scene if you had to quit and reload the game.

I just did it again, this is one situation:
Go to hospital, take left stairs down to morgue but don't go through door but turn right again and go under stairs, that is when I fall through the map.

Another strange bug in the hospital, the front reception dissapears alll but the flashlight and the guestbook when I run around to first and second floor, then back down.

Thank you for informing us. Falling through the map in the hospital could be due to a missing collider in that area. As for the disappearing front reception desk, it probably did not load properly, but should not prevent you from finding the important items to your investigation. Should it not appear again when you re-enter the hospital, do let us know.

We will look into it the issues you mentioned immediately after Christmas. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I know this post was from a year ago but I just encountered this problem and I need to restore my save somehow :( This happened after leaving the hospital front entrance and before I reached the exterior gate.

Try using the Reload function in the Pause Menu, after prompting you to wait 30 seconds, it will give you the option to respawn at the start of the map.
If that doesn't work you can send us your saveData.txt found in ('C:\Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\EQ Studios\The Painscreek Killings\SaveData' ) to [e-mail] and we will get to it as soon as possible.
