how do i get into the basement in the hospital. i thought i found a key that belongs to scott it says it is a basement key. when i use it the caption says the room is blocked from the other side

The key you found is not for the hospital basement . A hint: the key was Scott's and Scott had another dwelling. Go to it; search and you will find another map that provides a way to find the answer to your question about hospital basement door .

thanks finally figured that part out. i already finished the game but i want to go back and try to find a few things i missed. could you give me a hint on the chess piece puzzle, nothing i put in seems to work. the dart board puzzle , ican only manage a 3 digit number seems you need a 4. and how do you open the secret counter. i cant find any buttons or anything on the corners like it says in the note

Hints:
Regarding chess pieces, if you've found all 4 pieces, crouch down in front desk drawer and you will see a code scratched on the brass lock plate. Remember that the letter K is used for 2 different pieces so you may have to swap their numbers for correct code entry.

Regarding darts, if you've found picture showing all 4 darts and have calculated correct score, the answer is only a 3 digit number so use a leading zero when entering.

Regarding the secret counter panel, in the Inn's reception office area, look at counter area with Champagne? bottle. Couch down; slowly move your cursor around in the upper right corner area of panel and "Examine" should appear allowing you to open panel.

When you finished game which ending did you experience?

Also, are you playing game with a Controller?

thanks for all the hints. well i died a few times. but then i finally got to the top of the hospital and the killer fell. i got 85% and a B. and then i got 83% but got an A which is a little strange. oh what about the references to websites. i havent found a computer anywhere. and there was a mention of an apartment couldnt find that either. all the buildings look the same to me

i have tried every number i have and cant get the chess piece lock. i have 5 pieces a king,knight, rook, pawn and a either bishop or queen not sure which. is there another piece somewhere?

oh man im finding so much i missed. there is a book with a lock code on it. oh and was i supposed to find the time capsule or is that the little red box?

I've spent way too many hours on this game. I got 99% with an A but playing with a mouse, my movements are too jerky to avoid running into things while I'm sprinting so I keep getting killed I don't like chase sequences.
Any references to websites, AOL passwords, computers are just meant to mislead I think. I don't have any mention of an "apartment" in my notes.

I mentioned the bottle only as a point of reference. You must crouch down in front of the bottle. Move the cursor around on the upper right corner of the cabinet panel below the bottle to find touch point to open secret panel.

You only need 4 of the 5 pieces you found. Knight, Queen, Bishop, King; enter codes in that order.

Yes there is a time capsule. You need a shovel. The note you found mentioning the time capsule (in Wanda's house) mentions where capsule is located.

Yes, indeed there is a lot to discover in this game. Looking at the list of achievements on the Steam's game page is helpful to see what you may be missing.

ok the book with the lock code. i think i found it in the room where the bookcase that you can pull and push the books in and out . there is one that you find lying around and it fits in the case. thats the one with the code on the back
