Room 201 key?

So I've done almost everything I can at this point, and the only place I need to go (that I remember) is the private investigator's room in the inn, but I can't for the life of me find the key to his room. I even looked online and some guides point me to stuff I need to find in his room, but there's no word about the key to the room itself.

And yes, I've opened his car already, there were some clues and pictures, but no key. Help!
