infra has a story of conspiracy and failing infrastructure where you are only armed with a camera and a flashlight. A hidden gem. Stardrop is a space salvage company that unravels a deeper story. see my review on the game page. both are highly recommended. Others to think about: aporia and fidelio incident

The most similar I can think of is Miasmata.
All the games mentioned above are great.
But there is nothing that is exactly like this game.
Edit: Gone Home is like Painscreek but inside a single house.
If you like it because it's a walking sim with a good story I recommend What Remains of Edith Finch (one of my all time favorite games) and Firewatch
- Anna
- Conarium
- Cradle
- Dear Esther
- Dream (riddles)
- Mind: Path to Thalamus (riddles)
- The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
- The Painscreek Killings
- Ether One (really)
- Penumbra: Overture (you might me scared a little)
- Penumbra: Black Plague (if you enjoyed the game above)
There is also some similar games: Blameless, Marie's Room; Gone home; Nephise; Serena; Stanley Parable; Research and Development (HL2 mod).
I allow myself to suggest the game "Martha is dead"
It is a psychological thriller whose plot begins in 1944, in Tuscany. The conflict between Germany and the Allies is raging there. Through the eyes of a daughter of a German soldier, the player discovers the body of a drowned woman: he will therefore have to go in search of the truth surrounding the mysterious death.
<<<<BECAREFUL>>>>
It's a thriller with horror and gore scenes : Adverted public
But it's not a survival game or an hide and seek. You wont have to stress to survive
But this game explore sensitive topics (censured on PS5)
