Multiple managers on one save.
Hey all,

I've been playing a game with one manager for the past couple of (real) years with a club I created from scratch using one of FMGuru's womens mods from the workshop.
Having built this team from scratch I've grown massively attached to it so don't want to leave it.
I did fancy a bit of an extra challenge though so have been toying with the idea of having another manager alongside my existing one, after finding out this was actually a possibility that I didn't know existed. (My first and only FM title, you see.)

I've just reached the seasons end, all but one game - the final of the Champions League (wish me luck!), so figured this would be the best time to try the multiple manager thing.

I may have got a little carried away, but I've set up three new managers who are all starting out as unemployed, and who I kinda wanted to all start out together.
However, seeing as they have no prior experience they only really stand a chance of getting a job in one of the lower leagues.

One has just taken up a job in a club which only had two players in the senior squad (the rest were all greyed out regens), four or five in the under 20's, and absolutely no staff whatsoever.
The problem is that the only other jobs available that the others can get are all in the same league as the one that's just taken a club.

So, my question is this:
If I let another manager (or even both) take a club (clubs) in the same league, will this cause a problem if they have to meet further down the line?

I've found that the game automatically switches between managers at each turn so that's no problem, but not sure how you would go about managing opposing teams in the same match.

The other available clubs that the other two could take are also playerless and staffless, so they too are going to be needing to be set up from scratch.
The last thing I want to do is spend countless hours setting everything up only to find out that I hit a dead end when they eventually clash.

If anyone knows the answer to this, or has any other advice they could offer regarding multiple managers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Don't know how it works in this game, but some previous games were designed for hot seat multiplayer, and of course they worked no matter of the divisions where the managers were.

it should be possible without any issues to manage multiple different teams in the same league.
During matchday you will switch automaticly through both locker rooms to talk and motivate.
Once the match starts you will have the option to change formations, swap players, shout motivating things or micromanage opposition player instructions. All the same as if you would manage only one team.
Your set up will work.
You could test itt yourself beforehand if you like. Just start a new game, add a second new manager to a different team from the same league and arrange a friendly match.
play the friendly and test out your possibilities to coach.

i hope that anwers your question
and ... good luck with the CL finals!

Thanks for the answers, guys.

I did test it myself in the end.
Used the same game but made a test save which I could just delete afterwards, and then used the editor to force one of the newbie managers in to the PSG side. (my champions league finals opponent.
I then just set both teams with exactly the same formations and instructions and then just left them to it. No shouts, no change of tactics, no subs..... nothing. What they started with was what they finished with. Fair's, fair.
PSG destroyed my team 5-1 doing that. (payback for our 3-1 win in the first leg in my real game save perhaps?)
Didn't give me much confidence going back to my real save after seeing that though.

Going back to the champions league final against PSG in my proper save....
We were level pegging, 1-1 at full time.

In to extra time....
Both sides were pretty tired and concentration levels had plummeted so mistakes were aplenty. Don't think anyone even came close to scoring in either half of ET.

On to penalties.....
PSG up first. - They scored.
Our turn. - Scored.
PSG. - Miss. (saved.)
Us. - Score.
PSG. - Miss. (saved.)
Us. -Score.

My little three star, teenage goal keeper held the mighty PSG at bay. I certainly never expected that!
