Not Entered in Asian Champions League after winning Indonesian League...

Last season I won the Indonesian League, I also won the Indonesian Cup, Indonesian Super Cup and also the Asian Confederations Cup with Bhayangkara FC. I am in the third season and have had the league placing upgraded the season before regarding Continental Qualification so I have...
1st - Asian Champions League Group Stage
2nd - Asian Champions League Qualifying
3rd - Confederations Cup Group Stage

Now since I finished 1st, I was relishing the challenge of the Champions League in Asia, however I have been placed in the Confederation Cup again whilst Persipura who finished 2nd played in the Champions League qualying rounds.
Am I missing something or is it just the game put me in the wrong competition?
Do I get entered in the Conf. Cup again if I win it?
Hopefully I can get an answer as I am perplexed how I'm not in the Champions League Group Stage.

I had the same issue winning the Malaysian Leage. According to the rules I should have entered the 2nd qualifying round. But didn't...
Winning the Malaysian FA cup entered me into the AFC cup so looks like its just the Asian Champions League thats broken.

Wow, i never expected someone else to be playing as Bhayangkara FC. But doesn't it have to do with the weird schedule they use in Indonesia? the schedule finishes after the qualifying have already started. So you basically qualify for the next season of the champions league which starts after your next year of playing. I am not sure about this at all though.

Sorry for being two years late into this discussion, but did you guys manage to solve this issue? I am still playing FM18 btw and I am encountering the same problem in the Malaysian League. Champ the league but the third placed club qualified to Asian Champions League

Never got to the bottom of it, i think the same team were hard coded into auto qualifying from Malaysia as it was the same team every year that entered no matter where they finished in the league. I reported it to SI at the time but it was ignored.
